It is that time of the year when the peonies are blooming. Do you know that they are the plant of healing, happy life and prosperity?
Also it is believed that the peony is named after Paean, a student of Asclepius, the Greek god of medicine and healing. Asclepius became jealous by the popularity of his student and decided to kill him. To save Paean, Zeus turned him into peony flower.
And here are my own peonies, which I bought today. With them I wish you wonderful and happy new week.
