DANISH DESIGN BY SKAGEN

I am sure that I already mentioned how big fan I am of the Danish photographer Ditte Isager. And through her beautiful pictures I discovered the Danish company Skagen. 

Found in 1989, Skagen is a contemporary lifestyle brand combining the inspiration of Danish design with functionality. Their products are simple, beautiful with clean design. And here are my favorites.

BEAUTIFUL WHITE HOUSE

I can’t express how much I like this house. I discovered it via the blog “April & May” and… I love it. Everything is white combined with wood. There is stone, beautiful shapes and stunning small garden. 

The house is renovated by the La Buhardi - architectural and graphic design studio from Spain.

A TRUE LOVE FOR CLOTHING

Yet another great talent I’d like to present today. I discovered the brand Elizabeth Suzann on Pinterest. I love her work, her simplicity… but most of all I love her philosophy. For Elizabeth the product has to be not only beautiful but also functional. And I think that this is really important. Because no matter how beautiful one product is, or how high quality its components are, if there’s no real application for it…. it just can be good. And I think that applies not only for the home accessories but also for the clothes. Anyway this topic is really deep and complicated and I don’t want to dig into long discussions. I just wanted you to enjoy these lovely clothes created in the Nashville studio by Elizabeth Suzann.

BOOK TO BUY: THE INSPIRED HOME

It is not secret that one of my most favorite photographers is the Dane Ditte Isager. And I was so happy to hear that together with the stylist Kim Ficaro and the designer Todd Nickey she is involved in a great project. The book “The Inspired Home: Nests of Creatives” includes interesting homes from Italy, New York, Copenhagen, Los Angeles and beyond. The styles vary from bohemian modern to beach chic and show the style of the musicians, stylists, writers, producers, and designers. 

I can’t buy the book now, because of my relocation. But I think that this will be the first book that I will bring in my new home.

LITTLE SUMMER INSPIRATION

It's Friday and I think that we can afford to dream about the summer. I love summer, it is my favorite season and I'm so very excited about it. Every year. My best summer days were those spent on the seaside where I was born. This beautiful pictures by Brandon Kidd, created some time ago for the Ruche, made me dream today. ONE BEDROOM - TWO IDEAS IN DIFFERENT COLORS

The stylist Julia Green together with the photographer Armelle Habib, did a great job for Homelife magazine. They worked in one bedroom and created two styling ideas - one in pink and one in blue. They used different accessories to create the space calm and cozy. I personally think that this is a great source of inspiration for those of us who are wondering what color to choose for the bedroom.
